Visit to the Botania exposition

The main task of the Environmental Education Center Botania is to promote interest in plant life with various stories and facts, techniques and technologies. We want to awaken in everyone the curiosity and the desire to search, find, study, learn and understand the role of each plant in biological diversity.

Botania is 1460 m2 two-story building where more than 100 stories in information panels, showcases, and digital games depict events in the plant kingdom. The exposition includes 6 topics: about roots, trunks, leaves, flowers, seeds, and fruits. The separate place is dedicated to important contemporary topics as ecology, biological diversity, and the mission of botanic gardens.

Botania is a place to arouse interest in plants through different experiences of everyone’s choice: reading texts and listening stories, tactile exhibits and interactive screens, leaf catching games and virtual reality experiences, smells and sounds, wind touches and grain chatter, even writing a letter in flower language and sending it to your friends.

By reserving a visit to the Environmental Education Center Botania and Purchasing the NBG entrance tickets, the visitor confirms that he has familiarized with the rules of the visiting procedure, agrees with them and undertakes to follow them.

Currently, Botania will work from Thursday to Sunday, 10.00-16.00.
